Newspaper shows some creativity

El Tiempo is Columbia’s main newspaper. On February 4 of this year they showed solidarity with people marching against the terrorist group FARC by printing their entire front page backwards.

The caption reads “Turning your back on the problem won’t make it go away. Join the march today.” Note also how each of the people in the photos have their back to the camera. This is a brilliant and brave piece of communication design that would have had real impact.

The marches were promoted through Facebook and ended up attracting millions around the country. You can read more about FARC and the Columbian situation on the Amnesty website.

Via Innovations in Newspapers and the ever wonderful Oscio, formerly Houtlust, a site dedicated to social advertising and non-profit campaigns from around the globe.
