Sydney Design Week

07Aug06

Hi all. This week is Design Week in Sydney. There are heaps of great talks and exhibitions, and some interesting films and events too. Go to the website to see what is on.

D FACTORY – Thursday August 10 at 6pm
This is a monthly event at the Powerhouse Museum. Each month, creative professionals get together to talk and present their ideas. This month, to coincide with the new exhibition “In your face: contemporary graphic design”, Nell Schofield chats to grafitti artist Tim de Haan
(aka Phibs) and graphic designers Suzanne Boccalatte and Reg Mombassa about pushing the boundaries. Plus see the results of Project Cockatoo Island; a collaboration between AGDA NSW and Sydney Harbour Federation Trust which invited students to create a visual identity for this important Sydney Harbour landmark (a Billy Blue project!).

Powerhouse Museum, Level 2 Courtyard cafe, free entry.
With DJ James Bucknell.
